Jbel Saghro Trekking Itinerary
- Duration: 4 days and 3 nights.
- Difficulty: Moderate to challenging.
- Optimal visiting period: October through April.
The Jbel Saghro mountain range, nestled between the High Atlas and the Sahara Desert, presents a distinctive and memorable terrain of craggy summits, volcanic rock structures, and tranquil Berber hamlets.
Day one: Transfer to N’kob and begin the trek.
In the morning, depart from Ouarzazate, crossing the Ait Saoun
mountain. Drive to Agdz, then stop in N’kob, the gateway to Jbel Saghro. Meet our team and start trekking through the foothills of the Saghro mountain, crossing barren plateaus and dramatic valleys while passing by small Berber villages and terraced fields. Overnight camping near a spring or village, such as Berkou.
day two :The trek from Berkou to Igli spans 15 km and typically takes 6 to 7 hours.
Start the morning with an ascent into the core of the Saghro range, traversing rocky canyons and plateaus dotted with distinctive volcanic structures. 
Come afternoon, take a break for lunch at a picturesque location with views of craggy rocks, then continue to the stunning plateau of Igli, surrounded by imposing cliffs. Conclude the day by setting up camp and spending the night beneath the stars at Igli.
Day 3: Igli to Bab n’ Ali, distance: 13 km, duration: 5-6 hours.
Morning hike toward the iconic rock pinnacles of Bab n’Ali (Ali Gate).one of the mist striking landmarks in the saghro range,pass by seasonal grazing lands encounter namadic shepherds,enjoy picnic lunch shadowof Bab n’Ali.
Afternoon explore the surroundings area before heading to a nearby camp site,camp near a picturesque river bed,enjoy diner by the fire.
Day 4 : Bab n’ Ali to Handour. Distance 10/12 km.duration 4/5 hours.
Morning descends through gorges and valleys toward the village of Handour a verdant oasis in the otherwise rugged landscape.
Marvel at the contrast of greenery against the stark desert backdrop.
After lunch end the trek in Handour and transfert back to Ouarzazate.
